The journey begins with a short commentary stop at the Sungai Palas Tea Plantation before the drive up to Gunung Brinchang, the highest mountain in Cameron Highlands! With a little bit of luck you can enjoy the magnificent view of Cameron Highlands from the view tower at 6666 feet above sea level. The guided walk into the Mossy Forest will reveal some of the exotic montane flora and fauna.

A short drive down from the mountain will bring you to the Oldest Tea Factory in Malaysia; here a tour of the factory will be conducted by our guide. Have a cup of tea at The Ummpp Tea Shop, where you’ll be fascinated by the wide range of tea offered here. Later proceed for Jungle Trekking for about an hour. Trek in the Highlands “Montane” Forest with a guide and learn about some basic jungle survival techniques such as identifying edible plants and drinkable water. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of our Montane flora and fauna. Observe and admire wild plants an herbs such as wild ginger, Rhododendron, Golden Balsam, ferns & wild orchids during the short stops made by our guide during the walk. On your descent, stop by the butterfly farm and butterfly garden to view the many beautiful species, including the renowned Raja Brooke.depicting scenes from the hindu scruptures.

Tour Overview

An interesting full day program where you will be amazed to see on of the largest flower in the world. The program starts with 4X4 Land Rover cruising along with a short commentary stop at the Sungai Palas tea plantation and to one of the oldest Tea Factory in Malaysia. After tea factory visit, one can enjoy a cup of tea with picturesque surrounding. The journey then continue through a orang asli ( aborigine ) village. At the village, you’ll be fascinated by the simple lifestyle and culture of these people.

Try the Blowpipe and get to know their weapons, tools, musical instruments etc. Observe the traditional bamboo huts built only with bamboos, wood and palm leaves. A short walk around the village with our guide will reveal some of the medicinal plants used by the Orang Asli’s. Another twenty minutes drive from the village will bring you to one of the oldest farming village in Cameron Highlands- The Bertam Valley! Be amazed by the number of vegetable terraces along the way. The journey then continue through a farming village to the Rafflesia site.

A short stop will be made at the viewpoint of the Main Range (The Titiwangsa Range). The journey continues through a rugged terrain before reaching the starting point of the trek. A half an hour walk through Bamboo Forest and Hill Dipterocarp Forest will take you to the Rafflesia site. Our experienced and licensed nature guide will brief you about the Rafflesia flower. On your descent, stop by the butterfly farm and butterfly garden to view the many beautiful species, including the renowned Raja Brooke.
